This week I officially began working on the next issue of HPP and I have to tell you that I'm really excited! Normally I would sit in my chair groaning if I was in a similar situation, but this month is different.
First of all, I love the holiday season. But...and that's a huge BUT, in the publishing industry, we have a reserved disdain for it. Why? Because we all have families, and we all want to spend time with them during this season. the problem with this is that we still have to push out a magazine decent enough for you to read in a shorter amount of time so that we can try and squeeze a few days off with our loved ones.
Well this time last year we were in the same crunch and I wasn't too happy. We were all in the same boat, so complaining would only fall on deft ears. But there is a little gem this month; I'm currently scheduled to work on two features I love! Not that I don't like any of the cars I write about, I just happen to think these two cars are particularly cool.
First on the agenda is a 1974 Trans Am 455 that was just insanely well put-together. The car started as a pile of rust and was rebuilt into one of the finest examples I've ever seen from ’74.
Second, we have two best friends who bought LS-powered Trans Am WS6's and built them together. The cars look incredible and their performance is equally as impressive.
So with these really cool cars to write about, I have totally forgotten that we have two weeks to write and push out an entire issue. haha I can only hope that my highly skilled co-workers, Tom and Christopher, are in as high spirits about their assignments this month.
Well I just thought you all may want to know what to expect in the upcoming issue. I hope all of you have an excellent and safe holiday season. Try to relax a little bit because there is a lot of pressure on everyone during this time of year. You can freak out when you realize it's already December 31st!!
