The 4th Annual Bandit Run 2010, sponsored by Restore a Muscle Car, will kick off in Braselton, GA, on Saturday, May 15th and end up in Orlando, FL, at Walt Disney World. The Bandit Runners will begin by enjoying activities at the Year One facility and also have an opportunity to take advantage of an optional Smokey and the Bandit movie sites tour hosted by Tyler Hambrick. Bandit Runners will then head down to Tifton, GA, on Sunday, May 16th where the town is pulling out all the stops for this year’s runners. The following morning the runners will depart for sunny Florida.
After enjoying a stop at the Don Garlits Museum of Drag Racing in Ocala, Fla., runners will cruise to beautiful Daytona Beach for what is sure to be two nights of oceanfront fun. A variety of optional activities in the area will include a visit to the famous Daytona International Speedway and Daytona 500 Experience. Additionally, the runners can take a trip to the Kennedy Space Center.
On the morning of Wednesday, May 19, Bandit Runners will enjoy a stunning drive down the East Coast as they make their way to Jupiter, FL, where they will stay and play overnight at an oceanfront resort. On Thursday morning, participants will depart for Orlando, FL, and Walt Disney World. Upon arrival at the Walt Disney World Speedway, participants will have the option of driving laps around the 1-mile tri-oval. In addition, the Richard Petty Driving Experience, located at the track, will offer Bandit Run participants a discounted “rookie driving experience” package on Friday. How cool is that! At the conclusion of the 2010 Bandit Run, the runners will be free to enjoy all the fun and exciting area attractions and depart Orlando at their discretion.
The Bandit Run 2010 is open to anyone and everyone regardless of their car. As always, you do not have to drive a Trans Am to join the fun. To find out more or to register, you may go to http://www.TheBanditRun.com. We are going to be East Bound and Down, are you?
