New upgrades = big performance!

When I am doing tech, I try to include information that benefits everyone who reads. Yes, I understand that much of the late model specific information doesn't apply to classic Pontiacs. Still, the sway bar article can be used so that anyone with adjustable sway bars knows how to dial the car in properly. As we have proven, the stiffest settings aren't necessarily the best. Then we had the tire test that was more about the benefits of tire compounds and design than anything else.

Our next article will certainly be filled with copious amounts of information on how to properly set up a suspension on a car. I’ll be very honest; I learned a lot as I was initially getting into the article. There are a lot of things involved with suspension setup that I wasn't aware of but we’ll go over it in the next article.

What you see in this photo is a set of KW Coilover shocks. We’ll not only go over how to adjust the compression and rebound settings properly, but also how to scale your Pontiac properly. This should assist anyone with any type of adjustable coilover and explain the causes and effects of each adjustment.

On the side, we’re also addressing common problems with the GTO by replacing the bushings with Polyurethane parts from Lovell’s through Kollar Racing. This will really be the only model-specific information that the late model GTO crowd should be happy with.

When it comes down to it, what it takes to get a Pontiac to go around corners is pretty much the same. Not to mention that it’s very fun to shave time off the late model GTO's track times and bring it ever-so-close to say a Corvette.

Stay tuned!
