G8 Lives on in Australia

Holden Australia is making good use of all the extra G8 hoods, front fascias, fenders, and other exterior sheet metal that GM didn't want when it murdered Pontiac.

According to HPP sources, "We're working with Holden dealers on an exciting new Holden Commodore SS V series special edition and we'll announce details in the near future."

Although the new Holden will not carry the Pontiac name, expect it to look nearly-identical to a Pontiac G8 except for the badges (and the right-hand drive).
