GM Delaware Plant Closes After 62 Years

Last Pontiac Solstice Rolls Off Factory Line

The final Pontiac Solstice, a car whose heritage goes back to the 1954 Bonneville Special "Dream Car," rolled  off the production line yesterday.


The sixty-two year old Delaware plant closed its doors as part of GM's restructuring. As a celebration of the Pontiac Solstice, members of Solstice clubs travelled to the factory to see the last Solstice come off the line.
