HPP Gets A Sneak Peak at this 500hp Supercar

We were invited by SLP to get a sneak peak at their new G8 Firehawk.

Production started on April 1, 2009, and we were able to make it to the conversion facility just in time to watch Firehawk #1 (a G8 painted in Maverick Silver Metallic) get its new supercharger and hood. When we get more photos, we'll be sure to pass them along to you, the High Performance Pontiac reader.

1. I still don't think they should call it a Firehawk....after all the Firehawk name was like a progression from Firebird (kinda weak) to Firehawk (Strong) on the Firebird platform....

Can't they come up with anything better for a name? Something that actually suits the car?

I hope that they get numbers as good as the past for their sake, but I doubt sales will be that good for that car.

2. I THINK IT'S GREAT. GREAT CAR. GREAT PERFORMANCE. WE NO LONGER HAVE THE FIREBIRD SO THIS IS A NATURAL PROGRESSION FOR SLP. FIREHAWK HAS ALWAYS STOOD FOR PERFORMANCE IN PONTIACS.

3. Since the G8 replace the Grand Prix, they should call it GTX and not Fire Hawk, that name is fore the birds! GTP owner
