Taking a road trip.

Driving on the roads at night can be a very dangerous scenario. Especially when you have little rest and a couple Red Bulls in you. Such was the case this past weekend when I was leaving a concert in Orlando and made my way back to Tampa on the dreaded Interstate 4. Known for its appeal for bad drivers to frequent the road and cause an easily avoidable wreck, sure enough there was a wreck. This managed to back I-4 from Lakeland to Orlando and turn it into a parking lot as paramedics and law enforcement rushed in the emergency lane to the collision.

After turning my hour long trip into a two and a half hour trip, I arrived at the scene of the crash. A mini van was flipped over off the side of the road on the other side of a fence. All I could think of was if there were children inside the van. Thankfully, there weren't. There was, however, a drunk driver at the wheel. He was too incoherient to understand that you should try and stay on the road. Therefore, he stradled the grass and emergency lane on the northside for about a quarter mile before there was a sharp elevation change in the dropoff after the road. This sent the speeding people carrier onto its side as it rolled a few times before coming to rest.

To make things even more difficult, I was greeted by a drunk driver driving the wrong direction on a one way street in downtown on my way home.

If you're going to drink like and idiot, it doesn't mean you have to drive like an idiot. Get a designated driver or pay for a cab!
