Is GM going to slowly make Pontiac go extinct?

There is talk of Pontiac having only one model in its entire lineup in 2010 or 2011, a high performance vehicle, and most likely, that means the G8.

But everything else, from the still-born G3, to the G5, G6, Solstice, and Torrent, are likely to be killed in the very near future.

This move could put Pontiac one car away from extinction, a plan that GM will neither confirm nor deny.
