Before the new GTO becomes a G9 or the new Firebird becomes a G10 (if they come at all), is it time for Pontiac to immediately return to naming its current and future line of vehicles with classic Pontiac names where appropriate? Pontiac currently has a G5, G6, and G8, with word of a subcompact G3 soon to be announced. What classic names would you give these Pontiacs? Should the G5 be a Tempest, the G6 a LeMans, the G8 a Star Chief? Would Pontiac gain greater benefit by using these classic names, or do more damage by attaching them to its current and future vehicles? What are your thoughts?
