Though we won't see a GTO in the near furture, what if Pontiac decided to come back with a new GTO for 2012?

What advice would you give Pontiac to ensure that the new Goat was  a success in all areas like styling, performance, comfort and sales appeal?

1. Stop looking like a BMW. Stop trying to be something other than Pontiac. Stop refusing to take people's money by killing first the Firebird and then the GTO. Stand firm in the "performance only" category where you can't buy a V6 version of the muscle car like you did with the GTO (hate the G8). Be bold and take a risk with producing one of the many concepts out there for retro styled new cars. Give Mopar and Ford something to fear... or at least something to race.

2. After the "blunder from down under" - look at the retro designed autos coming out now. A real GTO will have lots of horsepower. Also, remember low price (more bang for your bucks), styling that looks like its going 100 mph when its sitting still, being able to pick your own options (that includes ac, power window, power seats, leather, etc.) Now think of a 1967 GTO - reduced the size by approximately 1/5 (around 3000 pounds) - add a 1969 Ford 500 Talladega fastback roofline - don't mess with much more of the original styling and maybe you guys will not lose your shirts/customers

3. I miss that sound of the 1960's and 70's GTO. I wish it would come out again by 2012. Have all the GTO models blend in with a newer look. Or have the Firebird and GTO looks blend in with the GTO's true performance engine. I have a dream that one day the GTO shall be reborn again.
